Publication in Spacing Magazine

Katherine Forster's "Letting Cities Go Wild" was published in Spacing Magazine's Winter 2014-2015 Edition.  Urban wild projects from Vancouver (Field House repurpose), New York City (Urban Field Stations), Edmonton (Master Naturalists), Windsor (Broken City Lab) and Ottawa (Ottawa Bird Count) were featured.  Link to Spacing Magazine.

Three new exciting projects initiated for 2015 launch!

We are pleased to have found such wonderful collaborators with whom we've had initial discussions and are now endeavoring to move three ideas forward and bring them to life!  As you may guess, one will be to celebrate native flora in a new way, another is a project to create new habitat and the other is using digital tools to connect people to spaces.  Some other ideas are percolating alongside these first three endeavors... including art in new settings and some new writing.  Stay tuned as these projects evolve and come to life!

Further details will be revealed as we release them next spring and allow them to fully flourish!

First Summer of Nature Walk Series at Petrie Island is Complete.

Thank you to everyone who supported this program and who shared, tweeted, "liked" and told others about the Petrie Island nature walks. We were thrilled with the interest from the community and the opportunity to partner with such knowledgeable and enthusiastic naturalists and are looking forward to working on the second season in 2015.  If you want to be one of the first to know about the Petrie Island Nature Walk line-up for next summer, sign up for the Friends of Petrie Island newsletter here.
